Chantal Van Ongevalle Associate Attorney
Chantal is an associate at Wadhwani & Shanfeld and is a dedicated advocate for clients navigating bankruptcy and other debt-related issues.
Chantal earned her undergraduate degree from New Mexico State University and her law degree from Oklahoma City University School of Law. She started her career as an extern for Judges Mitchel R. Goldberg in Riverside, California and Arthur M. Greenwald in the San Fernando Valley (Ret.). Then, for five years she was a staff attorney/paralegal administrator for the prior Los Angeles Chapter 13 Trustee, Edwina E. Dowell.
For the past 13 years, she has worked in consumer bankruptcy law on behalf of debtors and has helped thousands of people.
Chantal is a co-team mom for her son’s high school lacrosse team, volunteers to help run the snack shack, and helps with team fundraisers. She also enjoys riding in CicLAvia bicycling events with her family and she has never met a craft she did not like.
